Claptone announces ’The Masquerade’ Ibiza Summer Residency

Rising from the depths of the Mediterranean, onto the subtle sands of a tranquil Ibizan beach, enormous, golden masks signal the arrival of Claptone’s The Masquerade on the island.

Pacha Ibiza announce the launch of a spectacular event presented by the most recognizable - yet mysterious - entity in dance music: Claptone.

Brace yourself for the imminent arrival of the masked man’s Masquerade on the island, a marvellous night in Ibizan nightlife; promising magic, mystery and intrigue, within a supercharged environment of wonder. ‘The Masquerade’ is a place where one can live out their deepest desires, an extraordinary atmosphere, full of masked faces, complimented by some of Pacha’s world famous and beautiful costumed dancers, held every Monday throughout the summer. Commencing on Monday 27th of May and continuing weekly until 29th September, the new night will see some of the scene's most adventurous DJs join in on the hedonism.

Claptone states “I am delighted to share this dazzling news with all of you today: Pacha Ibiza will be The Masquerade’s home for the summer!

With this, my very first Ibiza residency, a long-cherished dream of mine, finally becomes reality. I don’t think there’s any club in the world, with a history and impact like Pacha Ibiza has. Since the very first day, I have always felt very connected to the island. We have a lot in common, a deep love for the mysterious and the sensational - a natural fit for a man like myself.

The Masquerade at Pacha Ibiza will represent my vision of the perfect night out: house music and beyond, interpreted by a carefully curated line-up of unique artists that I admire, and that I feel share the same sentimental connection to music. I invite you once again into my world, this time bigger than ever. A place where wonders are abound for those who trust in their imagination. The elaborate decoration and overarching experience will play a vital role. You are going to meet a collection of otherworldly - yet beautiful characters and dancers that will turn the place upside down.

I am looking forward to 19 unforgettable nights in Ibiza together with you, to present The Masquerade every Monday at Pacha, starting on May 27th. The line-ups will be unveiled very soon!”

Originating in 2016, Claptone took his unique ‘The Masquerade’ show to select cities and venues around the Globe, from The Brooklyn Mirage – New York and Club Space in Miami, to his own arena at Tomorrowland, Belgium. Handpicking the featured artists himself, he has been previously invited the likes of Black Coffee, Pete Tong, Purple Disco Machine Claude von Stroke, MK and many more.

A unique figure in modern music, Claptone is like no other. Playing over 260 shows around the world each year, his idiosyncratic, spellbinding very own house sound has caught the attention of many, and his new Ibiza residency will be harbour to many more. With Claptone’s ’The Masquerade’ we are sure to add a new glamorous dimension to Pacha Ibiza.

Ancient Claptone? Strange things are happening

Ancient Claptone? Strange things are happening

Strange things are happening and the archaeological world is abuzz after workmen in Ireland unearthed an ancient sculpture or tomb they nicknamed ‘birdman’ because of its distinctive beak.

Watch the full video of the discovery HERE.

The video went viral in Ireland with journalists from the locality and beyond rushing to the scene of the dig to hear more about this incredible find. Not only did it catch the eye of local journalists but Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTÉ, drove directly to the scene to interview the guys who uncovered the mysterious tomb for the biggest news programme in the country.

The workers claimed that they were ushered off the site as “The Department Of The Environment” was there to excavate the scene. The department apparently erected tents and lights and excavated overnight. After a bit of digging (pardon the pun), it was discovered that there was no such thing as “The Department Of The Environment” which raised serious suspicions among the public and the media.

Many people began to speculate that it was a government cover-up as the real department in change, “The Department Of Heritage, Culture and The Gaeltacht” released a statement saying they had not been contacted and would not be investigating the find. “While this video is certainly intriguing and very entertaining, the archaeologists of The National Monuments Service of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht have not been contacted and have no intention of investigating the ‘find.’”

The Irish media don’t know what way to turn or who to believe, conspiracy theorists began to throw all kinds of allegations at the Irish Government and the public were beginning to get frustrated at the lack of information provided by the relevant authorities.

Then in another twist to the tale, the missing tomb then reappeared on Dollymount Strand in Dublin having apparently washed up on the beach. The piece was discovered by Oliver Andrew who was out jogging on the popular beach…… Mysterious isn’t it?
